Mesotherapy for firmer, more hydrated skin

At Terme Krka, we use two types of mesotherapy.

With needle-free mesotherapy, an active solution is delivered into the skin using a device with four probes, combining two different currents and four treatment techniques. The procedure is painless, lasts approximately one hour, and the results are visible immediately.

With injection mesotherapy, a general surgeon uses a special syringe or injection device to inject a preparation containing carefully selected active ingredients into the middle layer of the skin (the mesoderm) on a selected area of the face or body. These ingredients stimulate the natural activity of collagen and elastin in the skin.

The preparations contain vitamins, hyaluronic acid, lipolytic agents and other active substances. All of them are tested and safe. The substance used is selected according to the specific concern being treated.

What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a procedure in which hyaluronic acid, vitamins and other important nutrients are introduced into the skin, specifically into the dermis, either through microinjections or with different probes, depending on the desired result. In this way, the skin is hydrated from within.

This provides longer-lasting hydration than can be achieved with creams. Hyaluronic acid molecules, although commonly found in skincare products, are too large to penetrate from the surface into the middle layer of the skin, the dermis. As a result, creams moisturise only the outermost layer of the skin and are therefore less effective. Both needle-free and injection mesotherapy act much deeper within the skin and can therefore achieve results that topical products alone cannot provide.

When should I consider microinjections of hyaluronic acid?
When you notice that the skin on your face, neck, décolletage or the backs of your hands is showing signs of dryness, has lost firmness or no longer has its natural radiance, you may consider effective hydration from within. Mesotherapy can be used on the face, décolletage, backs of the hands and neck.

How is the procedure performed?
In injection mesotherapy, the preparation is manually injected into the selected area using very fine needles. Several shallow injections are made a few millimetres apart.

For needle-free mesotherapy, we use a device with four probes. These probes gradually deliver the active ingredients into the deeper layers of the skin to achieve the desired result. With this method, you can choose between facial revitalisation with vitamin C, a meso-filler treatment for fine lines, and a meso-lifting effect.

Is the procedure painful?
Injection mesotherapy is only minimally painful, and an anaesthetic cream is usually applied to reduce discomfort. Needle-free mesotherapy is completely painless.

When are the results visible?
The effect is visible after the very first injection treatment. When undergoing mesotherapy for the first time, several consecutive treatments at intervals of 2 to 3 weeks are recommended. After the initial series of treatments, the next mesotherapy treatment may not be needed for another 6 or even 12 months.

Several consecutive sessions are also recommended with the needle-free method, as this can significantly enhance the effect, which is already clearly visible after the first treatment. Because of its effectiveness and the visible improvement after just one session, this form of mesotherapy is also ideal for anyone who wants a fresh appearance for a special occasion, such as a wedding.

Can mesotherapy be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Mesotherapy and botulinum toxin injections can be performed at the same time. If you are considering a chemical peel, however, there should be a few days between injection mesotherapy and the peel. You can use this time for a pleasant break in Dolenjske Toplice.

Needle-free mesotherapy combines particularly well with a chemical peel. The peel is performed first, leaving the skin smooth and fresh, while mesotherapy then adds fullness and a radiant appearance.
