Removal of fatty tissue with injection lipolysis

Procedure

The procedure takes approximately 60 minutes. After the application of an anaesthetic cream, injections of soy lecithin are administered to the targeted areas. If necessary, the procedure is repeated after six to eight weeks. Usually, two to four treatments are required, with the first results becoming noticeable after approximately three weeks. Alongside injection lipolysis, a suitable diet, exercise, ultrasound treatments and various types of lymphatic drainage massage of the treated areas are recommended.

Soy lecithin

The natural substance soy lecithin (phosphatidylcholine), which is injected into the tissue, helps dissolve fat so that it can gradually be eliminated from the body.

Frequently asked questions

What does it mean that the results are long-lasting?
After the procedure, the fat cells in the treated area are damaged or even destroyed, so fat does not accumulate there again for a longer period of time. However, if you gain weight, fat will tend to accumulate first in other, untreated areas.

Does the procedure have only a one-time effect, or does it also have a longer-term effect, for example by slowing down the reaccumulation of fat?
The procedure also has a longer-term effect. As explained above, fat tends to accumulate more slowly again in areas where lipolysis has been performed.

Are there any requirements or recommendations for undergoing the procedure, for example regarding body weight? When is the procedure appropriate and effective?
For the best results, lipolysis is most suitable for smaller areas where there is a greater amount of subcutaneous fat, for example the abdomen or part of the abdomen, the “saddlebag” area, the lower back or under the chin. Lipolysis is not a weight-loss method and is not suitable for reducing overall body weight. It is most commonly used to correct unevenness after irregular liposuction.

Is it true that injection lipolysis can completely eliminate, for example, so-called saddlebags within six weeks?
To completely reduce localised fat deposits in a particular area, several injection lipolysis treatments are usually required, most often two or three. The interval between treatments is six to eight weeks. For better results, we also recommend an adjusted diet and massage of the treated area, either manually or with a device.
