Otočec is also the perfect spot for photography. A plethora of interesting motifs reveals itself on a short walk by Krka River and Castle Otočec or inside Hotel Šport. You can also take part in an organized photo safari in pristine nature.

Otočec is a good starting point for exploring Lower Carniola. Refresh yourself in natural pools (the Klevevž pool, Krka in Kostanjevica) or in spas (Šmarješke and Dolenjske Toplice), visit romantic town centers (Novo mesto, Kostanjevica), discover quality wines (the Cviček fountain, wine cellars, Matjaž's homestead, turnip storage caves “repnice”), observe colorful life in pristine nature (by Krka, in the beaver valley, Divji potok, wetlands, rainforest), do stand-up paddleboarding, boating or rafting (on Krka or Kolpa) and hike up to wonderful viewpoints (Goranjci, Trška gora, Vinji vrh).
