The therapy stimulates and accelerates the natural internal processes of tissue regeneration and self-healing. TECAR is a modern therapy using electromagnetic energy. The acronym TECAR stands for “Capacitive and Resistive Energy Transfer” (Trasferimento Energetico Capacitivo e Resistivo). It involves the transfer of high-frequency electromagnetic energy through the body to the target tissue, where it causes hyperthermia (overheating).

Compared to other forms of thermotherapy (ultrasound, laser, infrared rays), it differs mainly in that heat is not added to the tissue “from the outside”, but by activating ions it stimulates biological tissues and thus produces energy and heat “from within”.
