For castle guests, we are creating a special wellness retreat – the Secret Spa, an intimate boutique relaxation space. The range of treatments will not be extensive but carefully curated – focused on what feels best: facial treatments, body treatments, and massages. The Secret Spa is designed as a personal experience – quiet, warm, for complete disconnection and regeneration. The Restaurant at Otočec Castle, proudly holding a Michelin recommendation, remains a synonym for refined cuisine. Chef Đorđe Piperović, together with his team, creates seasonal tasting menus, which in spring are enriched with fresh ingredients from the castle garden, local produce, light textures, and a play of flavors. In this kitchen, tradition and modernity find a common language four times a year. This spring as well, Chef Piperović promises the finest and most authentic tastes of the Dolenjska region.

In one of the defensive towers of the island castle lies an exceptional wine cellar. It houses cviček alongside other Slovenian and international wines. Wine tastings such as “A Walk through Dolenjska,” “A Walk through Posavje,” “Indigenous Slovenian Varieties,” and “Slovenian Greats” are led by the castle sommelier Denis Iskra. The castle island, embraced by the Krka River, is a Slovenian gem that must be experienced up close.
