In preparation for this year’s spring, the culinary offering of Hotel Šport has undergone a fresh transformation: the kitchen team is now truly international – made up of creators from Slovenia and Croatia, as well as from the Philippines, Nepal, and Russia. Each of them brings their memories, techniques, and personal taste of home into the island’s kitchen. Among pots and spices, smiles, different languages, and diverse approaches to food preparation intertwine daily. From this diversity comes harmony: a modern cuisine that carries the aroma of the world while remaining authentically rooted in the island.
The hotel restaurant’s new menu is thoughtfully bold – designed as a journey across continents, where global flavors meet seasonal local ingredients.
A guest can experience a culinary journey in a single day that begins in France with tapenade or quiche, continues in Ukraine with aromatic borscht, or in Portugal with golden rice balls, bolinhos de arroz. On another evening, they can travel to Japan with sushi, to Morocco with creamy hummus, and to the Philippines with sweet-and-sour sauce that gives chicken a distinctive playfulness. The third evening takes them to Spain with snacks like pinchos, to China with sweet-and-spicy soup, or to Italy with classic Margherita pizza. With salpicão salad they taste Brazil, with meatballs Sweden, and with the crispy combination of fish and chips England. The culinary stage of Hotel Šport also features flavors from Chile, Thailand, and Greece – from fresh ceviche salad to pad thai and lamb souvlaki.
