The Otočec castle garden, with its spaces, offers an ideal opportunity for human grounding. Working in the garden amid green nature, digging in the soil and leaves with bare hands, touching plants, and breathing deeply in fresh, unpolluted air – all of this is a true balm for today’s person, who can hardly slow down anymore. Walking among the beds and listening to birdsong has a soothing effect.

When we are grounded, we are in touch with the present moment; only the “here and now” matters. We feel light and rested, our thoughts are clear, fresh life energy and enthusiasm flow through us, and we feel that we can achieve all the goals we have set.

There are many ways to ground oneself, and it is important to choose the one that suits us best. You may find yourself in this – in the castle garden (or somewhere else in nature where you feel safe and comfortable), choose a place that attracts you most and that you like best. The reverse is also true—tense muscles and discomfort can resonate within you for a long time and cause unpleasant feelings. Therefore, take time for good things and, when you feel that “something” is missing, connect with the Earth and with yourself in your own way.
