Pinija - Restaurant & Beach Bar is located on the renovated Strunjan beach, right by the sea. Our offer includes the flavors of the Mediterranean: fish and shellfish from the Slovenian sea, tomatoes from the southern slopes of Vesuvius, locally cold-pressed olive oil, basil and oregano, cheese, salt flower from the Sečovlje salt pans, as well as homemade pasta, Istrian truffles and excellent Neapolitan pizzas.

Where does the idea for the restaurant name come from?
We named Pinija – Restaurant & Beach Bar after the pines of the unique double-lined avenue with 110 trees, a famous natural monument that offers a warm welcome to everyone arriving in Strunjan.

Why are Neapolitan pizzas so special?

The dough is prepared by hand using a special process that ensures lightness and easy digestibility, as well as the ability to be rolled out very thin. Only flour, water, salt, yeast, and olive oil are used for the dough. Since no sugar is added to the yeast for rising, the dough rises more slowly.

The topping ingredients come from the Campania region, which ensures a full, harmonious flavor and easier digestibility, making it also healthier.

It is baked in a special wood-fired oven at a high temperature of 440°C, and only for 60 to 90 seconds.
