About the programme

The programme is based on nutritional detoxification and fasting adapted to your level of physical activity, while also including a range of new detox treatments. The programme is led by a personal trainer and nutrition expert, and it is tailored to the needs and wishes of the guest.

Customised nutrition

As nutrition expert Janja Strašek says, the emphasis of the programme is on a fruit and vegetable fast. “When fasting, you only consume liquids and no fibre – only fresh seasonal fruit and vegetable juices and base soups, with which you neutralise acidity in the body. An emphasis on using food produced in an organic or integrated way. It is also important to prepare for fasting with so-called unburdening days before a fast and the same applies after a fast, when the body is once again getting used to solid food.” At the end of your fast, we will help you transition to a healthy diet that represents the goal eating pattern.

Exercise when fasting

An integral part of the VitaDetox programme is the individually set physical activity – altitude training, Nordic walking in nature or pace training, pilates and aerobics in thermal water.

Suitable exercise and dieting also make it possible to get rid of fatty tissue, which is where excess harmful xenobiotics are most commonly stored.

Treatments and relaxation

The detox programme takes place in the embrace of pristine nature with the ideal access to a complete range of wellness services that are of high-quality and highly effective. To make sure you feel good during the detox with a fasting programme, we provide relaxation massages using natural, cold-pressed essential oils to alleviate the stress reaction, increase blood flow and stimulate the elimination of toxins. Visiting saunas and detox baths plays an important role in detoxification.

Effective detoxing

The elimination of toxins from your body at Vitarium Spa & Clinique takes place on several levels. Going to the sauna is an important part of weight loss and detoxification, while we have also added effective detox baths and aroma massages to the programme, to stimulate blood flow and the elimination of toxins. Swimming in thermal pools alleviates pain, releases tension in the muscles and increase the blood flow through muscles.
Nutritionist tips

During your time in the program, you work together with a personal trainer and nutritional consultant who will create a personal exercise and meal plan, also advising you on how to continue on your way to maintaining your achievements. At the consultation with the nutritionist, you will learn everything about eating patterns, the composition of food, the calorie content of food, and its glycemic index. You will also learn how to recognize the potential mistakes that you may be inadvertently making and learn new, healthy eating habits.

Specialist medical examination

The programme also includes a consultation with a doctor and a stress test (ergometry). If being overweight is already posing a threat to the health of your cardiovascular system, we recommend that you determine your state of health with our medical specialists during the SlimFit weight loss programme. We will modify the programme to take into account the results from this specialist examination in order to ensure the programme is effective and safe for you.
